EPICTETUS:
Music:Billie Holiday: God bless the child
such beauty awaits you
within a balance of fragility,
from the impossibility of the ideal.
With or without,
the rays of splendor will come to reveal
itself at times least supposed.
My stay here has become prolonged and I have begun my ¨all day everyday¨ one month left sentimental state. Its silly how tardy I have been to realize my current situation. I am suprised by my naivity of believing that I was ret to go in supposedly one week. I recently realized that my life resembles an ideal version of an unsupervised summer camp. If my life were truely
a movie I would be instantly breaking out into a slow and monochromatic montage of all the things that have past during my years in Montreal.
So I shall attempt to enjoy that which will happen and that which is out of my control.
I want to leave by maximizing every advantage that arises. I had an amazing and borderline
divine brunch at chez moi the menu included; baguette with eggs onions, camenbert, pesto, djion accented by a spinach, mango, avocado salad with homemade dressing. Topped off with brut mimosas.
After taking a lazy stroll with Anna down St.laurent, stuffed from my previous meal and also
the infusing heat of the sun. I hit up the muesum of contemporary art with Shamso.
There were some pieces that were hit and miss but nonetheless I enjoyed them
I like this piece by Catherine Widgery with the contrast of the bathtubs often useful and cleanly function.
I have begun to take the leisurely hobby of watching Jeopardy in the afternoon. Magnifying my aged interests. Perhaps I shall perouse my way over to the Bingo Hall after, to enjoy a stroll and see my B23 buddies Muriel,Edith and Gwenavier? Lest not forget my trusty lucky Bingo dabbers.
Jeopardy is an old school love, I remember the days when Alex Trebek sported a moustache to ignite a revolution and they also did not have this whack futuristic set.
On another note, i loathe commercials to the point that I am insulted by how trivial they believe our minds to be. I just wasted a few minutes of my sacred time to a commercial that was creating a connection between youth rebellion and get this miracle whip. To the young and angry, there is nothing like eating a good tuna sandwhich loaded with miracle whip before striking the streets with anarchy.
I recently finished reading Franny & Zooey, marking another work off my eternal ¨to read list.
It made me want to sit in a bathtub and take up the hobby of reading&writting letters. A lost artform due to the facilities of techonology. Snail mail does live on though, I must admit I have a few amigos who stay strong to the antiquity of licking stamps and putting in things in various postboxes.
Seriously though, I have always and can seem to predict that I will always be a fan of Mr. Jerome Davids writing style. It feeds my constant aged teen angst inspired criticism towards society. I recommend this to anyone who is into you know, reading, laughing and perhaps even expand the capacities of their mind. I also discovered a new thinker through this book whose philosophies are currently tickling my mind. He goes by the name of Epictetus, known by many on the mean streets of Ancient Greece. His discourse often make cameos in this book so I was naturally curious to see what he was all about.
